I received a coupon from Allstar listing their specials, so I called and spoke with a young lady whom I questioned their services and costs. She told me that the fully equipped truck, two Men and 1 hour trip charge with a 2 hour minimum would be $39.99 per hour total. The two guys showed up with a rental truck loaded the truck within 2 hours and delivered the furniture within 3 miles and unloaded within 2 hours and by surprise handed me an invoice for $420.00 for a partially furnished one bedroom apartment. The invoice should have been a total of $239.00 to include 4 hrs labor 1 hr trip and the unexpected shrink rap charge of $39.00 that we will let slide. The additional cost was $80.00!!!! In FUEL CHARGE for a 3 mile trip, plus $99.00 charge for stairs. The mover and I both tried to contact someone in charge, but would be placed on hold for 20 minutes and then she told me that I would have to speak with claims over the pricing, so she transferred me to a voicemail with no return call. My husband drove to their office located here in Chandler and was treated extremely unprofessional. He paid them $300.00 after negotiating the ridiculous invoice or so called contract. Next time we move or any of our family we will ask to see a contract way before the scheduled date. Watch out for hidden charges and I don't believe that they perform background checks and they only accept cash. Must be an fly by night company and I wonder if they report all these cash deals to the IRS? Are they really licensed, bonded and Insured?
