I purchased a Groupon for the Holiday Light Tour for me & my mom. It was actually for her 60th birthday. Thought it would be a fun night out. I am hard pressed to find much good to say. I think the bus is cool, but it just didnt have much to offer. There was zero Christmas cheer. Just seemed like getting on a public bus. Noone took or asked to even look at our tickets. We could have just walked on. I found that weird?! The lady that was in charge seemed very pleasant, but not really aware of anything. Noone told us anything. It was just really strange. The christmas music only played during our first place. The first place was cool. A neighborhood where everyone seems to be decorating big! Second stop is one you get out. When we got back on, someone had taken our seats, so we had to get down the little stairwell to sit, but before we did the bus took off! My mom isnt very steady on her feet.. I felt terrible for her. It was embarassing & dangerous. On the last stop you go into the home. We were probably there about 10 minutes (my mom is obsessed with taking photos ) but when we came out...no bus! They left us behind! No word from anyone they were leaving, no set time to leave..just gone. I was so sad. This was supposed to be a special night & it ended up being void of any joy.
The reason I am giving 2 stars & not just one is that the owner saw fit to refund us for our tickets & give us a couple of tickets for a future event (not sure if I can ever get back on that bus!) But, in fairness, it could have just been an isolated incident & the management staff was very nice.
In my opinion, just take your own car. Much cheaper & noone can leave you behind!
