I feel completely taken advantage of after having two cars allegedly repaired last week. At first they appear to be caring and happy to take care of you as a customer. My nightmare with this Meinike started on Friday, January 16,2015. Tuesday of that week I had made a 1pm appointment for an oil change and asked if they could check my motor mounts. They said for that I would need an appointment, which I made for 1/16/15 at 1pm. I asked how long will it be, they said since I made an appointment it would be 30 minutes. I arrive the day of my appointment 10 minutes early and they seemed pretty busy so I asked how long would it be, Donny replied with initially apologizing and said he would get me out by 2pm. Whatever it's only a half hour longer than I was told no big deal right. Well 2:15 rolls along and my car was still sitting where I had parked it , so I went up to Donny and asked how much longer calmly , he seemed irritated that I asked and pointed out to how busy they were, so I replied irritated now, saying look I understand you are busy , but when you require an appointment to be made several days in advance its proper protocol to honor those with appointments above walk ins, and also when I arrived don't promise it will be done by a certain time to not even have started on the vehicle by this time, as I have to pick up my child from school . He asked what would I like done, I asked well I think the oil change should be discounted since I was not given the service I had expected. He said I'm not giving you a free oil change, and I advised I wasn't asking for a free oil change , and for future reference do not provide appointments to customers if you are unable to keep them. 15 minutes later he said the oil change was on him as he understands how it is having kids. I insisted I did not want it free - but he did not let me pay. So at this point I was changing my irritation to the feeling of being appreciated as a customer. Since I had to leave I could not get my motor mounts inspected ( mind you in September I had replaced two at this location along with brakes) he never called back so I took it as he was just busy. Monday January 19 comes along and we just decide to take the car to check the motor mounts. We were told it would be 1000 for 2 and the job would be 3-4 hours. Since I did not have this window I said Tuesday or Thursday. Tuesday January 20,2015 our other vehicle needed dire need of being checked. Around 2:30pm we drop the car. We were told it needed engine bolts and some type of valve would be around $350. Then about 4:30pm they said more bad news it will be about $1200 and car needed to be left overnight. Wednesday January 21. After not hearing from them we call it now needs catalyc converter part bringing total too $2000 for this car alone, but since we are having another big job they will get it too $1899 and the car would be done that evening. Finally at 5pm Tim calls saying car is ready no more check engine light but it sometimes will shit off at idle. So we swap cars to start job on other car. A few hours after having this car back it seems to have way more problems than we initially had, so Thursday morning I ask if they can look at it. This is were the bad service begins, they began undermining me then said drop it back once the other car was finished. So at 4:30 pm Thursday we exchanged cars again, they took more than 3-4 hours on my car again longer than what was promised. I get my car back and notice the mounts where fixed but at acceleration car lags, at this point I'm ready to cry and feel they are just scamming me. Friday January 23 at 1030am I call to advise this problem and check the status of the other car I just payed $1899 for. Donny once again was arrogant and rude. So we come down to shop to talk to him, he advises he's not doing this again with me and gets mechanic to talk to me and ignores me the rest of the time. The mechanic tells me both my cars are complex and after fixing one code the other pops up . And says it may seem like we are ripped off but we really aren't , if we spend $2800 more the car will be completely fine. He then said to give it a week for the other car if there still issues he will drive to test it. I depleted my entire bank account trying to fix my cars that hurts, but I wouldn't be complaining if I felt my cars where fixed even if they provided horrible customer service. Not only are both my cars not fixed they both seem worse off than when I took them in. After spending $3000 , treated like I'm nothing and my cars in crappy shape this feeling of being taken advantage of hasn't left me irate and screaming I'm more on the lines of wanting to cry in disbelief. Why do businesses do this to people that are just trying to survive!!
