My stylist Sonny spent a long time cutting my hair and was very friendly. He definitely took his time- the cut lasted 2 hours. Unfortunately, the results were mediocre.
He also did not really spend much time at the beginning consulting me about my hair.
He took one look at my hair (and probably thought "Oh no it curls!") before asking the assistant to wash and blow dry it straight before cutting. Had he taken the time to talk to me, he would know that I do not wear my hair straight, ever, so cutting it straight and dry would not give desirable results. After my hair was "straight" he asked me what kind of cut I wanted, and it was too late. All I could tell him was how long and describe the bangs and layers.
In addition my hair is a nightmare to straighten, and even after half an hour of intense blowdrying, my hair straight to puff up and curl, which may be why the haircut itself took so long. Because my hair didn't look good.
You may get a better haircut here if you don't have coarse, thick, wavy hair. :)
