I couldn't discourage you from visiting this "spa" enough. I have been to many spas and had many treatments and this is easily the worst experience I've had. I bought a Groupon for the following and this what I actually received upon arrival: 75 minute facial: 60 minute facial with no mask and extremely painful extractions. She did not ask about my skin before the facial and was insistent on using a peel I asked her not to use due to bad reactions in the past, even thought they had another option. 30 vitamin C treatment: Did not receive treatment. First I was told Groupon made a mistake by putting it on the listing and then they admitted that they didn't have it anyway. The peel during the facial was supposed to make up for it. I've gotten a mild peel with every facial I've ever received, so I'm not sure how it was supposed to be something extra. It did not add any time to the facial. 60 min massage: I thought this was the only redeeming part of the day until the next day I woke up with deep shoulder pain which developed into crunching during moderate exercise. I do not have pre-existing shoulder issues. The massage therapist took at least 15 minutes to stretch and pull my amrs, shoulders and work my upper back and I will likely be getting a massage to fix the one from the Fountain of Youth. There were also two employees loudly gossiping outside the massage room for more than half of the time and it was extremely distracting*. 60 spa pedicure and 25 min manicure: A day later, I can not believe I sat through the nail treatments after watching my friend receive hers. The selection of polishes was extremely limited and very old and crusty. The treatments were 30 and 15 mins respectively*. The pedicure station was a chair and massage table in a corner at the end of a hallway. There was a light foot scrub in lukewarm water. No removal of calluses. No massage. I will admit the polish was fine but I had to lay on my back and look at the ceiling while it was done. The manicure was unbelievably bad. Soak in cold water, barely pushed back cuticles, uneven filling and polish ALL OVER THE FINGERS. I had to polish over it when I got home. *I've never heard so much crazy and rude gossip by employees of a salon in my life....and if you've ever been in a salon anywhere in the world, you that is saying something. *Not only were the nails terrible, but they were supposed to be side by side with a friend and when we showed up we found out there was only one nail tech who had only worked there for 2 weeks and judging by entire operation, had only been doing nails for 2 weeks. I know it sounds crazy that a place that is in business can offer such terrible service but its true. My friend was with me and had the same Groupon and had a similar experience. We left shaking our heads and needing a drink. The best part of the "spa" day was laughing about it all night. Pass on this place no matter how good the deal might seem.
