I started living here in 2016 and decided to resign my lease which just ended in early June. The complex itself is a little older looking but the insides are much nicer. Wood floors throughout a majority of the unit with carpet in the bedrooms. The maintenance crews were pretty quick whenever you had a service request, usually fulfilled that same day. The management staff was a little so-so with exception to Nancy. She is a peach and is always happy to help you with whatever you might need. She is the model of what an apartment complex manager should be. I only have a couple of negative marks on Avana which stopped me from giving it a 5star. First off is the parking. You are given one assigned spot and then uncovered spots are a first come first serve basis. I wish they would've allowed people to purchase additional spots but it's not a huge issue if you're quick about it. Next would be the fact that you are REQUIRED to pay the $25/mo for Trash Valet. They come by (maybe) 50% of the time, not to mention I take out my own trash regularly. Kind of a waste of money. Overall it's a quiet complex with nice amenities and a good group of workers. I'd recommend this complex to someone looking in the area.
