The Sobey's in my neighborhood has the best bakery of any Sobeys I have ever walked into. I know, it may sound biased, but it is my sincere opinion. I am fortunate that I live in a neighborhood that has a few grocery store choices. Sobey's Riverbend, is 2 blocks from Ogden Safeway, and it is also about 4 - 5 blocks from Quarry Park Calgary Coop. Also, it is about a 5 minute drive from Heritage Meadows SuperStore and Costco. So, the competition is steep. So when do I choose Sobey's over the many, many choices that I have? 1. Proximity. It is directly in my neighborhood, so if I need a quick anything, Sobey's is the closest. Not by much... but its the reality. 2. There is a Canada Post in Sobey's. If I need to pick up a package or mail something off, it is likely I am walking out of there with a few groceries as well. 3. The bakery is delightful! If I am ever looking for home made bread or any type of baked goods to bring to someone`s house (notice I did not say "to bring home..."), then Sobey's is the obvious winner of all the stores at my access. I am sure that they all have fantatsic baking as well, but Sobey's wins hands down for me.
