All the ambiance of a dive bar, but with an extra area for shows. Decent sound. A few quality beers on draft; the Torpedo IPA is really good. Horrible setup for all-ages shows though: the money-making people (who buy drinks) are stuck far away from the stage in the bar area, while the underage people (who don't make Pub Rock as much $) get the prime, front-row standing spots. Because of that, we stopped buying drinks so we could be closer tot the stage (you lost Pub Rock). Still, not a horrible show-going experience. If I like the act enough, I'd certainly return.
