I went in to get testosterone levels checked out because I was feeling some of the symptoms of low testosterone. Turns out my testosterone levels were ok, but a yeast infection was identified and treated, and I was told that it is possible that this treatment could increase testosterone levels and eliminate some of the symptoms I was experiencing. I was prescribed medications and supplements that cost over $300 a month, and 2 months later my testosterone levels actually dropped. Aside from the expensive office visits and medications, they used Labcorps, which is out of network for my insurance company.. they should have used Qwest. My 2 lab bills totaled over $1200. So, after spending a total of over $3000 on treatment to kill a bacteria infection and the testosterone was dramatically decreased.
