I had no plans to participate in this years St. Patrick's Day shenanigans until a close friend came in from out of town and properly twisted my arm. Her and her crew of 30 closest friends were at Cruze so I hopped in an Uber around 4pm and off I went.
This was my first time there and well I believe my first time in any gay bar so I didn't know what to expect. There were a few people in the front bar, a ton of people in the middle area/dance floor and then even more people outside on the deck. Not sure if it's because it was a high holiday in Pittsburgh or what, but everyone was so happy and nice. Being able to be out in the sunshine was a huge plus.
Being able to dance my toes off was also a plus!! The music was a mix of current hip hop, pop, and the 80s and 90s classics, all of my faves! The bathrooms were surprisingly clean for St. Patrick's Day, too.
One of the bartenders was super attentive and nice but when it came time to close my tab it was such a pain in the butt! I could only close out with the person who opened it and after 10 minutes of trying to find who that was, I found that he moved to the front bar and he took forever to get to me and seemed rather annoyed, as was I at this point. But all in all it was a super fun time and I will definitely go back!
