It has taken me forever to get down to the nitty gritty and write this review, to which I greatly apologize to Rebecca, the kickass nail tech, and my Yelp fam, who may have come across a last minute nail emergency like myself in an unfamiliar city, but didn't have the reviews to make an educated decision! Okay, so it's very unlikely y'all were in a similar situation as myself. You see, I desperately needed my nails done as my dumbass self forgot to stop by my usual place to get them done before I left Cincinnati. Why not just wait until I get home you ask? Well good sir/m'am, I was on stop #2 of a 7 city trip that would not have had me back home for another two weeks. Two weeks without my nails done? We don't joke about that. Ever. That is cruel. I walked in around 11:30am hoping to do a walk in appointment. They didn't have any availability till 1, which at the moment I didn't think I had enough time for. (I had to be in Glendale later that evening.) However, I found my friend to be a slow mover when I made my way back to my hotel, so I decided to call and book the 1pm. Fortunately, it was still available. I arrived back at 1pm and Rebecca's prior appointment was still going on. No biggie whatsoever, they started to take my polish off so I was ready when she was. I picked out a bright red (the same color as the 5 stars actually!), and patiently waited. She profusely apologized when she came over, but tbh I was totally fine and chilling. Rebecca was very easy to talk to and did a wonderful job with my nails. I decided on the shellac since they didn't have SNS. Totally not a dealbreaker, as I find SNS isn't nearly as popular as I think it should be. Rebecca and I instantly had a rapport, and I found myself sharing a lot of random tidbits of information as if she were one of my girlfriends. I don't think I've ever felt that at ease the first time with a new tech. It was weird, but I had absolutely no problem with it. 3/4 of the way through my appointment, Christy came around and introduced herself. She complimented my nails and started chatting me up. She has a very calm and easy going demeanor, and she is genuinely concerned with how your appointment is going. She just seemed truly interested in not only my thoughts about my nails, but on how I was doing and if I was enjoying my trip. I get the vibe that she's that personal with every client, and that made me feel amazing. I don't think I've ever walked out of an appointment so upbeat and happy. I sincerely hope that you visit my new friends when you're in town, and I hope you have a wonderful time.
