How embarrassing! Last night, I suggested Rita's for a graduation dinner because their happy hour was so good the last time I visited. Big mistake. 2 plates of calamari that were barely cooked. I ordered the shrimp tacos special and there was nothing special about shells that fell apart, barely any shrimp and zero flavor. Two others in our group ordered the fish tacos and it was the same. BLAH!! Another ordered the chicken tacos and again, no excitement there. So we thought the graduation girl would have better luck with her Filet Mignon. She did! Unfortunately the asparagus tanked in texture and freshness. The best part of our meal was the bread and butter that they served, which we thought how odd when the majority of the menu is southwestern. Chips and salsa might have been s better option. The guys ordered beers which were on the cool but not cold side. Refills on water only came at the end of our meal This reinforces one of our friends opinion that resort restaurant fare doesn't fair well at all. At least the views were nice.
