I came here to support the Contemporary West Dance Theatre (formerly Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theatre) in their performance yesterday. I did not know what to expect since I've never known of libraries having theaters, so I thought it would be a tiny stage in the middle of several rows of books, but I was pleasantly surprised by the nice auditorium and professional stage they had.
It was on a smaller scale, in comparison to other venues I've been to, but I will say that I enjoyed the intimacy. The performance was completely free, and was quite spectacular since they had it very professionally done with such amazing artists, choreography, lighting, costumes and sets. The staff working the event were extremely generous and kind, I'm so glad I was able to attend!
I love that Las Vegas supports arts for everyone of all backgrounds and has such talent presented for free! I highly suggest attending events at this theater, especially performances by CWDT. It makes for a great date night, family night out, or even as a solo "I just want to do something different" kind of day. Please support the arts and attend :)
