Had a shellac manicure done that was starting to peel on the 3rd week (at another salon "XL Nail" which is the bomb!!! but didn't have time to trek out there) so decided to make a quick stop here after work to get it removed. Location is convenient for those who work in the core, however, this also means bumped up prices even though the atmosphere, service and materials (i.e. stained towels) are similar to other small nail shops scattered in the city. I was told removal would be 12 dollars (Phamtastic is 5, fyi) but that she'd reduce it to $6 if I also paid for a shellac manicure. I needed one soon anyway so decided to go for it. Big mistake. Had a chip on one thumb by the time I got home, which is almost impossible with shellac... and not only that, by the next day, I was able to peel off the entire polish on that thumbnail. (Was meeting a client and would rather have one unpolished thumb than a huge chip in the middle.) Not impressed. Won't be going back, which is unfortunate because the lady was pretty nice and location is convenient.
