I brought a bridesmaid dress into Christie to be shortened. I was very happy when she told me it could be done in two weeks for only $25! What a steal! I tried on the dress for her and we decided to take it up 1 1/2 inches.
I came back 2 weeks later to pick up the dress and tried it on again. It looked the same, but I knew it wasn't because the fabric that was cut off. I told Christie I thought it was two long, the fabric didn't look like it was 1 1/2 inches. She brought out her fabric measuring tape (which was missing the first 1/4th of an inch) and measured 1 1/4 in, so really one inch. So really a half in less than what we agreed on so no big deal. Until she began to argue with me telling me I was wrong and that was what we agreed on.
To keep this short. I was unhappy. She then handed me some pins and told me to pin it where I wanted it to be. Thinking to myself.. Me?! I don't know what I'm doing.. I can't do this myself. I try, unsuccessfully to pin it and have to have her help me. There are at least 5 other customers picking up their items hearing and watching this.
She tells me to come back on Tuesday and it will be ready. I ask her if she is sure, I can wait until Wednesday if she needs me to and she says, no no it will be done.
I arrive on Tuesday and she asks me what I'm doing there? I said Wednesday.. The only reason I'm giving her 3 stars because after all of that my bridesmaid dress did turn out very well, but I will not be returning or recommending her to anyone because of the service.
