Have to say I am just disappointed. I have been coming here for over 10 years. Flamingo seemed to be my middle ground for value. This experience, I am afraid, changed my reasoning for staying here again.
Checked in really late (3am) and it was definitely not a warm welcome. Started as an argument when the changed the rate from our original price and ended in frustration. Reg low end room $289, listed $169. (Even though we booked a room they sold out and put us in a pet room that was more expensive-nothing special at all) Oh well we needed to sleep.
Room only had sheets (no blankets). Shower was leaking so the entire night we got the rainfall effect in the bathroom.
Next day my soon to be fiancé didn't want to switch hotels so I decided to try to get a better deal than we had. They had to switch us out of the room and into another one across the way so we ended up waiting in line to re-check in for 45 min. Finally checked in to another room and we were in a hurry to get to an appointment. Got to the room and ha, they didn't clean the room. It had garbage on the floor and bedsheets pushed down. Floor was scratched like someone had been trying to rip up the boards. We called and explained our dilemma (now we can't wait for a room we had to go). I then asked if they could have someone come clean the room and change the sheets/towels. Here is where it gets good: I marked the pillowcases with makeup inside the pillows so I would know if they changed the sheets.
Nope they put the old sheets from another guest back on our bed. Communication breakdown. Disgusting. When I went up to the desk to explain the matter and I stayed very calm to see what they would do. How about a free buffet he said.
Never Staying here again. Gross. No value. No appreciation. Nothing.
