We decided to check out L2 Lounge after having lunch in Chinatown. It's located on the second floor and overlooks the walking street, so it's nice to sit by the window and people watch if you don't get too cold sitting by windows (yep, I learned the hard way). They have a decently sized menu, complete with suggested drinks. The only problem was that not all of it is translated into English, so visitors like me are limited to ordering what is in English. I was impressed with all the toppings that are offered. In addition to boba, they offer toppings like grass jelly, coffee jelly pudding, fruit flavored popping boba and brown sugar balls. The drinks are a little powdery tasting, but they one ice cold in these really nice and big beer mugs, which is pretty cool. There is also a good menu, but I wasn't too impressed with the popcorn chicken or fried tofu. Both were a little bland. The one thing I really didn't like about this place was that they don't accept credit cards. Like what? This is 2018.... they accept cash and Canadian debit only... boo.
