Cute, and cosey, but not beating you over the head with the Harry Potter theme. Seems to have a good range of coffees, lunch, and soon to be beans (at least that's what I was told). And that would make sense since they roast on site. I have to say that this greatly increases not only the visual interest, but also the smell of the place. How can you go into a coffee shop that roasts and not get something?! I want to say the decor may even be too subtle. It's not quite as dark as I'd like, but anyplace with gargoyles shows pormise and immediatley catches my interest. I would have gone even more tavern/pubby than they did. Gimmicky can be spread farther than they did. There is no such thing as judicious when people are looking for the signs and semaphores. I think that this is a fine addition to the area. That corridor is jam-packed and sure to grab people who are out and about. When I went on a Friday morning, the lines were fairly small and the help was attentive. I can definitely see myself coming back if they actually package and sell some beans (assuming they roast right and they up to snuff).
