Location, location, location.
The best thing about Hotel Victoria is its location. It is close to the subway and street cars, making the city very easy and inexpensive to navigate. 5 stars for location.
Other than that, the rooms are smallish, but clean and fairly trendy. But I wasn't a fan of the frosted glass on the entire bathroom door you could basically still see right through. The staff was nice. No view in our room at all, the window faced a brick wall--so ask for a room facing Yonge St. if you want to take in the city.
Free wi-fi is a definite plus.
I would not recommend Hotel Victoria if you have a car to park and are worried about its security. The lot they refer you to on the website is small, cramped, uncovered, extremely busy and it is not as cheap as others in the area. The price stated on the hotel's website is incorrect. Investigate closer and cheaper options before you fork over the $ in advance to the hotel's recommended lot. Also, as others have mentioned, there is no place park out front of the hotel while you check in. So plan on carrying all of your luggage several blocks. We knew that in advance, so it wasn't a huge issue but definitely something you should prepare for.
No car to park? No problem! Did I mention the location is great and totally close to public transportation?
We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay again for the discounted rate which we received. Especially for the location. If we had to pay full price, I'd probably shop around in the same area for hotels with more service options.
