Used the U-box service for local storage during home renovation. Getting the box was great - they were very accommodating of our schedule and basically said we could pick any day and time to have the box dropped off and picked up. Once renovation was complete, scheduling return of the box was a completely different story. Now they are "only in my area" twice a week - no exceptions or variations. If those two days don't work for you, well I guess you just have to keep paying them to store your stuff. The Tempe employee was condescending and rude. I asked to speak with a General Manager, but he was "in a meeting for the rest of the day." My request for a call back was ignored. My next call reached a "Regional Office," though I don't know how given I called the Tempe number. This person was immediately rude and unaccommodating when I explained my situation. Not only that, but she then contacted the Tempe warehouse, put me on hold for several minutes, and apparently had a conversation with them about me. When she got back to me she was on the defensive and shut down any discussion of how to help me. Be aware that once they have your money, customer service is not a priority. I will not be using the U-box service or any other U-haul services again at any location.
