If you're unsure... toast has more than toast, but oh boy does it do toast well. And by toast, I mean toast in forms of the word toast... not so much just the traditional side dish for eggs. But also French TOAST as well.
On this particular morning (brunch) we decided to try it out for the first time with our Yankee friend in tow. Meaning she was from the north, not that she enjoyed a NY Baseball team.
Anyway, they were in the mood for some good food and a mimosa while I was curious how popular toast could be that they named a café out of it.
It was a short wait to get seated (maybe 5 mins?), and then once seated service started very quickly with drinks. As we waited the return of our drink orders we did the typical think of looking around the room to see what looked tasty. And I couldn't take my eyes off this poor girls BLT (which I didn't get) but it looked so delicious.
For the record ma'am, I was eyeballing the stack of bacon on your blt when I was drooling. In case there were any misconceptions there.
I skipped the drool inducing BLT for a more breakfast item of eggs, toast (duh!), bacon, and some hash browns.
Now, I saw a complaint that the hash browns weren't what someone was expecting and that's true. I was actually anticipating wafflehouse style hash browns as well. Instead these are more country potato like. Which are a bit more hearty, but very delicious!
The eggs were cooked to order and not over-seasoned, so you can dress them up yourself a bit of you'd like. Tasty none the less.
The BACON was thick cut and cooked to perfection as well. Very good and perfect complement to the dish! (I can't imagine how great the BLT would have been!)
The toast was very good, and very interesting. It was soft, delicious, and almost gummy - but not in a disgusting wet bread way. It was weird to describe, but very tasty none the less. I loved it as my side... especially with a bite of bacon. (Again, making me want the BLT even more).
So, if you didn't notice, I WILL be back for that BLT. Our brunch was delicious, and everyone was raving about it. I can't wait to return and try even more!
You definitely have to try this place out!
