Overall, kind of a strange-feeling café. I've been to other Steep & Brew locations in Madison before they closed on State Street, but this one had a strange set up. Located as part of a strip mall on Odana Road, the interior is surprisingly large although the use of space seemed inefficient. The tables are relatively small and located along the exterior of the room next to the windows. There is a small selection of pastries, a large area for coffee, and the ice cream parlor takes up half of the interior as well.
The coffee here is definitely good though and reasonably priced. In addition, they come in these nice ceramic mugs that are made in Wisconsin and make drinking the coffee quite enjoyable. The owner is also really nice and friendly.
Internet is open, but lags. There are outlets located along the walls, but some are located outside of eye-level so definitely scan the wall. Like someone else mentioned before, it's also pretty cold inside so make sure you bring an extra layer!
I personally wasn't able to concentrate very well in this space - it felt cramped to me and the Internet speed really bummed me out. I'm not sure if I would come here for a coffee date either because it's relatively quiet, but if you are looking for a place to stop by to get some work done, this could be the place to go.
