My car had trouble turning over twice today so I went to the AutoZone near 83rd Avenue and Union Hills and they tested my battery and it was bad. The battery was four years old which is remarkable in itself but it was out of warranty. No big deal, I paid for a new one. This is not why I'm leaving a review. The employee who helped me, whose name unfortunately I didn't get, swapped out the battery for me. That isn't unusual, for the most part...the location at 43rd Avenue and Bell wouldn't do this when I was there four years ago when I got the battery which finally died today (which incidentally wasn't the correct size for my car). This man or on an apron and rubber gloves, took his time to make sure the battery cables were clean and free of corrosion, made sure the battery tray was clean and seated properly, and applied anti-corrosion gel to the terminals. He worked efficiently and it took less than 10 minutes. His professionalism was exceptional and I tried to tip him $20 and he refused, saying they can't take tips. I know I will always be treated well at this location and will go nowhere else for car batteries.
