We gave it a try yesterday and spent about an hour letting the kids go wild. They had fun. The place is not geared heavily towards tokens for tickets for prizes. There are very few prizes but then few machines that give tickets and its only a few tickets when they do come out. Some are broken, some take your tokens and give no plays too.
Our granddaughter was two inches below the height requirement for the bumper cars but they let her ride anyway, but she was too young to steer or to understand how to make the car move, she asked to be let off and they let her.
A couple of the slides in the soft play area were really fast and both kids loved that but like some other reviewers mentioned this place is showing its age. They also both loved the flying boats but were afraid to try the roller coaster. It went backwards sometimes and I think they thought twice about that.
The air hockey in front of the train doesn't work right, no air in the middle of the table. You do not need to buy more than an hour's worth of time. You'll be done before your hour is up.
We did not eat any food or drinks here because we just had lunch. We had some wait time issues for an operator to show up to turn the rides on. But then we found one young girl staffer and she opened up the next ride of the kids' choice. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the staff has no problem if you stay on and ride again, if there is no line waiting.
I took the advice of some of the other reviewers for the other Jambo's and I am giving Jambo three stars based on our 10 yr old's rating. First he said 2.5 and then I said, "no half stars," so he finally said three even after I told I would have gone with two.
I wish Tucson would build an indoor place like this, its a great concept and very much needed with our hot desert summers so kids have something to do where they do not get heat stroke.
