In the 15+ years my mom and I have been coming here, last week, will be the last time I EVER step foot in MC. I have never been so disappointed. About 6 months ago I was given a new stylist I had never seen. I decided it was time to trust someone to finally put some color in my hair, after 23 years of virgin hair. My stylist was "too busy " to style my hair. My entire salon experience was rushed because she was "over booked" and "running behind ". I'm an extremely understanding person, so I shrugged it off and went on with life, it's just a style, whatever. Now, fast forward to today. For my birthday, I wanted to treat myself to something new. I wanted to get halo extensions, and try some highlights! When I scheduled my appointment, the front desk suggested I stay with the stylist I had prior....with hesitation, I nodded and made the appointment with her. I came in, talked with the stylist, and decided to make it a go. She told me I could PURCHASE a 75 dollar consultation, where she would show me HOW to use these extensions, style them, and how to take care of them. I was so hyped, I pre paid for the consultation weeks in advance. As I arrived, i again asked the front desk what exactly did this 75 dollars include. She then told me, my stylist will show me how to use, wear and style these extensions. As well as give me lots of tips and advice on how to maintain them! When I met with my stylist, she was with a FABULOUS assistant, Rachel. She was amazing and the only good thing that came out of my experience . She was kind, friendly, and just all around a great person to be around, definitely a fabulous asset for the business! First thing my stylist says is that she's jam packed and over booked. SHOCKER. Again!!! She didnt have my hair, had to go frantically search for it, asked ME what we were doing today- even though we had spent 30+ min talking about it days in advance, i mean i could go on and on. What made me the most upset, is that I even asked her, during my visit, what days she's the least busy, that way It wouldn't be a rush job. I'm a very awkward person, and I hate making people upset, so instead of getting up and leaving-like I should have, I just stayed in hopes of it ending good. So basically she gave me a couple strips of lighter blonde, cut my hair, curled it and sent me on my way. Never showed me how to use my extensions, how to style them, how to put them in an up due, NOTHING that I was told she would. I'm so happy I prepaid the 75 dollars, to not even be shown what I paid for. Moral of the story, NEVER prepay for a hair service or you'll just get screwed and taken advantage of. Also, if ya didn't have a good experience with your stylist the first time, ya probably will have an even worse experience the next. After spending 600 dollars, in ONE consultation, I thought I would be treated a lot better, and given the quality service I had paid for. You get what you pay for, right? Wrong.. I'm highly disappointed, but that's fine, it's a lesson learned and I won't return!
