This review is based on a visit 04/21/2015 for lunch right at open (11AM). Seated immediately without reservation, which was great. Server provided recommendations without needing to be asked. Constant water refills when only partially empty. Great service overall. Items ordered: - Blue Corn Pancake w/ Duck BBQ -- this is my wife's absolute favorite item here, and it was ok but definitely not as good as in the past. This alone is one of the primary reasons we keep coming back, so that was disappointing. - Tiger Shrimp w/ roasted corn tamale -- this was good, although there could have been more of it. It's an appetizer though, so that's kinda the norm. - Entree - Shrimp tacos w/ avocado, tomatillo, mango sauces, citrus cilantro slaw. This was a suggestion from the waiter. Just average, nothing great. Would not order this again. - Entree - Yucatan Chicken Skewers -- horribly disappointing. 3 tiny pieces of chicken with peanut chile aioli, with 2 tiny dried up tortillas. I couldn't believe it was so bad. Seating is very close quarters, to the point that it's uncomfortable trying to have a conversation. You are literally in the conversations of people next to you, and while that may be an attractive feature of a family-style restaurant, it's not appropriate in this location. Definite minus for that. Mesa Grill has always been one of our "must-go" stops on previous trips. We've been there twice before this visit, but both visits were for dinner. This is the first time that the food was not stellar, and that's the only reason this is a 3-star review and not a 2. Price is not an issue, because it's pretty standard for Vegas strip places and the food was always great previously and worth every penny. We *might* go back next time we visit, but it's definitely off the "I can't leave Vegas without going" list.
