I wanted to try out this place for a while and I finally got the courage to go ahead and give it a shot, especially since I had the yelp deal and I was also taking my 2 girls with me. Now on to the experience...
It was a Sunday afternoon which you hardly find any salons open on Sunday, plus it is close to home so that is definitely two positives. When we walked in around 11:30 it was packed and smokey. So I was getting more excited. We all got a wash and blow out. I really wanted it washed and roller set...to me it just comes out more bouncy and healthy looking when it's roller set. Margarita did our hair and claimed it couldn't be roller set because it was too much hair and it's faster to blow dry. Exactly, I know that it is faster but I wanted it roller set, I didn't argue with her I said ok and left it at that. I heard that Marilyn is really good and most of the customers in there were waiting for her, but I was already in there until 3 and didn't want to wait any longer. The end results weren't bad, Margarita did get the hair straight it just wasn't the greatest job.
If I had to sum it up I would say if you go try to get Marilyn or just look around to see who does hair the best in your eyes. If you don't have time for that I would use this place as a back up if my main shop wasn't available. Well, I am still on the hunt for a banging Dominican hair salon.
