In December 2008, I purchased a leather sofa and reclining chair from Ashley Furniture Store in Scottsdale, Arizona. The sofa is not even 3 years old yet, and the leather covering on the sofa is peeling off. When I called the store this morning to see if they would send someone out to repair the sofa they told me it was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do. This is totally unacceptable, Ashley claims that they manufacture quality furniture with attention to detail and they stand by their products. This sofa is far from quality craftsmanship. If their claim to fame is manufacturing quality furniture then they should stand by their products when and if something goes wrong. I told them I would be willing to pay to have the sofa repaired and they told me they only do warranty work and my best bet was to find someone on the outside. I am so angry with the inferior product and workmanship that Ashley sold me and now they refuse to fix it. My recommendation is NEVER purchase anything from Ashley Furniture Home Store. They do not stand by their products. They are a rip off.
