It's not you, Vesper Bar, it's me. Well sort of. We had gotten fab cocktails at this place on a previous visit to Vegas. My confusion over where to meet the Uber driver + a decision to skip the getting ready cocktail = whatever the alcohol equivalent is of hangry. Luckily (??) Vesper Bar appeared at just the right moment. I decided to put my faith in the bartender and asked for something with whiskey and amaro. He mixed Basil whiskey (yes!) and two kinds of amaro (double yes!) and then a splash of apricot liquor (nooooooooo!) The final result was too sweet for me, but in all fairness, how was he to know. Unfortunately, my hubby ordered a sazarec- not one of my fave cocktails- so I couldn't even pull my usual switcheroo. If we go here again, I'll definitely be more specific with my order.
