This was probably one of the worst bubble tea customer service experiences I've ever had, and I drink bbt quite regularly.
On SEP 8, they posted a text message promotion of Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) of any drink for their Grand Opening special, with an explicit Expiry Date of SEP 18.
On SEP 16, GongCha sent a similar text message promo for BOGO on their Milk Foam Black/Green Tea.
On SEP 17, when I decided to visit CoCo over GongCha for their Grand Opening BOGO special, they said they were no longer honouring the BOGO promo due to "shortage of inventory", which was complete bullshit, as they still had people lining up, and still making bubble tea. So how does this explain "shortage of inventory"?
I asked why they didn't send a new text notifying customers, who may be going out of their way to travel to this location for their special Promo, and they responded that they could only send ONE text message per week. Excuse me, but it's been OVER one week and I did not get any text that you guys are going back on your word for this promo offering.
If this is already the Grand Opening special, I don't know how long you are going to last, with this type of sketchy underhanded type of marketing and false advertising. It is a sign of extremely poor customer service and reflects badly on the international CoCo name. Shame on you.
