I went to what I thought was the dog saloon (that depressed locked-up building right next to where Stackers use to be)...only to find out my irritation was not that it wasn't open, I was just at the wrong place! The real dog salon is a much nicer looking building, and when I walked in (towards the end of the day on a Thursday) they were more than happy to help me out with Bindi's nails. I originally wanted to do the bath/nail combo but that requires leaving your dog there and calling ahead...two things I didn't realize and I don't quite feel comfortable leaving my dog with people I don't know no matter how nice they seem at first, but that's just over-protective me. Anyhoo she filed the nails down with a drumel for me as Bindi's nails were just sharp not really long. The service was $12. The nice lady told me that if she were me she'd buy one at Walmart for $20 and do it herself (as my dog is pretty calm). Score, I am definitely taking her advice! Kind folks, and the dogs that were there sans owner looked pretty content...not happy mind you, but not depressed or freaking out either, so that's a good sign.
