received a call from the dr. Saram on the day of my dog's surgery after i dropped off my dog at the clinic and signed the form. I expressed when I was signing that the estimate i was given did not include spaying cost which was additional 400$. I signed it anyway and said this is frustrating but i'd go ahead with the surgery as I don't want to put my dog's health on jeopardy. Got a call from the doctor no less than 5 minutes later. He said Since i am not 100% happy I should take my dog somewhere else for surgery. I said i was not 100% happy but i don't want to delay the surgery by looking elsewhere especially I've already spent considerable amount doing all the exams. He said i can take the exam results with me and he would just disregard the forms i signed re: surgery. I had to ask my mother to pick up my dog and filed a formal complaint with College of Veterinary Ontario and they opened the investigation. I have never thought a vet can act so unethical that he puts his ego infront of patient's health. Especially when i was willing to get past it. Take your dog somewhere else.
