I have lived in Northside for over two years and came here once to stop in and get coffee.
I will not go back. Ever. Its not the coffee or the shop itself- its 100% the location. Thats the issue.
This place is hang out place for large groups of homeless people in and around this location.
This coffee shop is on the corner of North Ave and Federal street. An area that the city says they are attempting to " clean up".
Not a safe area, known drug spot is about one block away where you can watch drug deals happening morning and night. Ive driven down Federal at 7 in the morning watched children walking to school and drug dealers exchanging money/drugs in front of them, school buses, and in front of the library next to Crazy Mocha.
I would not recommend coming here. If you arent from here... this isnt the neighborhood to take a stroll through.
The city of Pittsburgh should be ashamed of themselves for pretending there are not REAL problems in this area that need to be addressed. It could be a great location if the drug and homeless issues were better handled or just acknowledged.
