A few weeks ago, I went into Liberty to get a transmission filter changed, but that never happened. Basically, two weeks prior, I called to schedule an appointment for this relatively basic (if time intensive) service and was assured a good price and a minimal wait time of about two hours. I arrived on-time for my appointment and was blown away by the shear size of the operation. Basically, Liberty repurposed one of the many vacant big box stores adjacent to the Bedford Automile, turning it into a 4-season indoor car lot with the workshop to match (at least 10 lifts). "Cool!" I thought as I handed over my keys, assured that I would be in-and-out in no more than two and half hours. I made myself comfortable in their well-appointed waiting area. After two and a half hours, I went back to check on the status of my car. Apparently, making appointments isn't worth the time at Liberty as no one bothered to order the part I needed prior to the scheduled maintenance. I was told it would be at least another 1 1/2 to two hours, to which I shrugged and reclaimed my spot in the waiting area. After two hours, a manager comes out to tell me that they can't do anything to my car as the front wheel bearings and other parts of that support structure were shot. I recognize that its my own stupid fault for not knowing this was a problem, and I appreciate that they did not do the scheduled maintenance. However, it took four and a half hours to tell me they couldn't do anything for my vehicle. Even though the staff was kind and apologetic, I will not go back to Maple Heights' Liberty Ford ever again.
