I have lived in the VUE since 2015. Initially I loved this apartment but the quality of the property has significantly declined. It started with frequent interruptions in water leaving residents without hot water for hours. The underground garage is anything but secure and a pricey $70.00 per month. The garage doors have broken on numerous occasional and take multiple days to weeks to fix. Random people are always following others into the garage and recently there was an attempted break in on the inside of the "secured" garage. Cars sit outside and wait for someone with a sticker to follow in. When brought to managements' attention, they say there is nothing they can do to enforce this. The elevators have broken numerous times and also take days to weeks to fix. The VUE increases the rent significantly every year, promising upgrades that never happen (re-painting the filthy walls, cleaning the facility better). The cleanliness has also significantly declined. The freezing temperatures in early 2018 have led to breaks in the sprinkler system that trigger the fire alarm at all hours of the night and lead to evacuation to the lobby. The broken lines have flooded a current total of about 19 apartments, the Gym (which is now closed so that repairs may be made) and multiple hallways. Residents are packaging their belongings in watertight containers and breaking their leases (and paying a large remaining portion of their rent) in order to move their belongings out before they are flooded. Management has a complete lack of empathy or concern. There has been no break in rent, no possibility to move out, and no long-term plan about how to prevent this problem from occurring again. People are sleep deprived from the numerous times this has happened in the middle of the night and are paranoid that their apartment will be next. This is FAR FROM a luxury apartment! I cannot wait to move out.
