Judging from Yelp photos I never would pay to try this place (looked pretty dated and grim even in photos) so when I got a gift certificate from a family member I decided to try it. I am so glad I didn't actually pay for this experience. The massage itself was fine and the RMT was good. Nothing special though that you can't get at a $35 Asian massage place in Chinatown. This place is definitely not a "sanctuary" and offers no spa-retreat kind of feel one would expect. The pool area felt like I was at a local YMCA (way too many people, loud, in desperate need of a reno) and the women's change room was a zoo. Literally a community gym feel, not even a renovated-goodlife kinda feel but like a budget community rec centre. The whole place needs a renovation ASAP. Go to the spa at shangri la instead. Price is pretty comparable but completely different caliber of service and people there. Hey, at least I tried it for free. I wouldn't go again though even with a free GC.
