This was the one remaining item on my Vegas culinary bucket list. I'd been to Wicked Spoon and a few other buffets, but everyone had been bragging about Bacchanal, so I wanted to jump into the "cool" bandwagon. My friend and I came here on a Thursday night shortly before closing, and we still had to wait 45 minutes. Insane! Good thing we planned ahead and got Fat Tuesdays for the wait.
Once we were at the front of the line, paying and getting seated were pretty quick. Pretty soon, we had worked up an appetite to feast. Immediately, I made a dash for the seafood station, since I felt that was the biggest bang for my buck. Unfortunately that meant I couldn't get over to the Asian stations, but oh well.
The seafood station had oysters, oyster shooters, mussels, crab legs, and so much more. It was delicious way to fill up my stomach. More worth it than tacos, in my opinion. There were also some tasty cuts of meat at the carving station.
Service was friendly and attentive. I guess it's hard to tell the difference between "I'm still working on this plate" versus "I've admitted defeat." Personally I don't think there was anything that stood out at Bacchanal that made it better than, say, Wicked Spoon. Well at least nothing other than the seafood that made it worth the $60 price tag. Then again I'd be willing to splurge to give it another try if I was with a group of friends that suggested it. Until next time!
