Well a "stay" never actually happened. We arrive at the front desk, a little sketchy, but we checked in and go to the room. Open the door and right away the lights don't work. Walk back to the bedroom and only one of the lights in there work. Once the lights came on we realize that we had just stepped into a third world country (no passports necessary). There are stains on both of the bed sheets and pillow shams, the mattresses are covered in plastic, there's one towel in the bathroom and no soap or shampoo. Now, I knew I wasn't booking a room at the Ritz or even a Marriott but I didn't think I was booking a room in Rwanda. We immediately left and went back to the front desk to ask for a refund because there was no way I was going to sleep there, but they're smart, this has happened before. They have a lovely "no return policy". So we grabbed our stuff, ate the cost and went down the street to another hotel. Ohh and we saw ladies of the night walk out of the room down from us, so someone seems to enjoy that place. I have stayed in some pretty gross hostels around the world, this was by far the worst.
