This was my second visit to Good Fortune and I have to admit, I kinda love the place. It's a very cool, very dark little bar underneath La Carnita and it feels like the kind of place you might encounter on Queen Street or Dundas West. We arrived on a Friday night and the place was pretty packed, although we were able to secure a table by the back. The drink special was a $10 margarita, which obviously I had to order. Though the portion size was a little minuscule, this was definitely one of the better margaritas I've had in a while. (It reminded me of the superlative drinks I get in Vegas every time I go back there, actually.) Though Good Fortune does offer the full La Carnita menu, I wanted to try one of their exclusive offerings, so I went with the Crispy Chicken Burger ("Crispy Chicken, Lettuce, All Dressed Sauce, Pickles"). It's astounding. Everything works: the perfect, soft bread, the delicious sauce, the divinely-cooked chicken... It's almost a perfect sandwich, although there was perhaps just a little too much sauce for my liking. The service was friendly and attentive, too.
