Background: I am usually a hard waxer (Newbury Spa) for brazilians but wanted to try sugaring before my trip. I had an appointment originally booked at GimmeSomeSugar, but I had to cancel it last minute and this was the only place with available appointment before my trip. I wish I had skipped it all together rather than go through what I did.
The staff was very friendly upon arrival and during the treatment - however, I think that they may need a refresher in technique and professionalism. I have been to other establishments and have never had someone need to go over the same patch of hair a dozen times (not even joking - 8-12 times on two different places). Furthermore, there was a TON of hair leftover even despite the constant reapplications, as well as a ton of broken hair left that made it feel more like I'd just shaved. I wasn't going to ask her to take care of the leftover hair though - my lady parts had been through enough.
Upon payment the secretary did not make it clear what the total cost was and after charging me $53 (which I believed to be the grand total and include the 15% new customer discount)handed me a second receipt for $20. When I then asked her about the discount and explained my confusion all she could say was "You should have asked me before I put the payment through" and didn't offer any sort of recompense/apology. I would not recommend Kensingtons services to anyone and will not return.
I had to go home and take care of a lot of it myself including waxing the labia and behind the labia in order to get a ton of hairs, and then a ton of tweezing to try and get those short broken hairs on the pelvis.
