Junior's Burgers + Cozy's homemade Custard = I am thankful I go running on a daily basis, or I'd weigh a hojillion pounds. I stopped by Cozy's/Juniors after church, with my good friend Pradeep. We both got a small size 'tornado' (which is like a blizzard @ dairy queen or the equivalent @ jarlings--although i found the title in poor taste following last week's near tornado touchdown!), and ordered a cheeseburger each. The burgers come simply with patties (1, 2 or 3 patties), and then you pay extra for cheese, bacon, etc. I got a single patty cheeseburger and ordered some of their delicious, home made waffle fries. The tornado was good, but sooooo filling, the sweetness of a banana cream pie in a cup. The burger was standard, but nicely grilled, and you can get it with pepper jack, which is a nice change-up. The location is a little small, but you can tell that Junior LOVES the U of I, as he's decorated the place entirely in blue and orange, and has pictures of the teams throughout the years adorning the place. The patio tables outside beg to be enjoyed in the current nice May weather, as well, and I'm looking forward to a burger-tornado combo in the humid, humid summer. Overall, a lovely spot, although perhaps not for the very health conscious among us ;)
