I have to visit the University of Pittsburgh one extended weekend every semester for graduate school, and I usually stay here.
The staff has always been friendly and competant, and the valet attendants are very efficient and polite. The rooms are nice--nothing fancy, just a television, refrigerator, sink (outside the bathroom), and bathroom with shower. They also offer free Wi-Fi, which is nice for travelers and students doing last-minute homework assignments (not that I would know...ha, ha). Other highlights include a small exercise room and pool/hot tub on the main floor, both accessible with your room card.
The valet parking is a bit pricey, but I've never had my car returned with unexplained damage or scratches.
For anyone visiting Pitt, the hotel is within walking distance (for me, anyway...people who don't like walking or are unable to can just take Bus 71A directly to campus). I wouldn't hesistate to stay here again.
