Went in to get my ring inspected and cleaned as per their warranty, which I do every six months. I originally bought my ring at Jared, which is their sister store, and Kay Jewelers has access to the account. First I was asked for the paperwork, which was in the car. The lady unenthusiastically responded that she could look it up, but it would take "a while." My fiance produced the Kay Jeweler's card for the account to make it easier to look up. Without bothering to input the card number, then she wanted to know the approximate date we purchased the ring. Why this matters, I have no idea. Then she asked what location it was purchased at. When I told her Jared, she said she couldn't look it up at all, at which point we walked out. I've had my ring cleaned at Kay Jeweler's almost every time, at the regular mall locations. Why it "couldn't" be done here, I can only assume laziness. She never attempted to look up anything on the account. Horrible customer service.
