My daughters 9th birthday party was scheduled here today Saturday, July 18th ! She had an absolute blast, as did her guests. I was reluctant to do the review yet after the way my issue was handled I felt inclined . Upon arrival our party was not set up and we waited around 20 minutes to be seated. Not to bad, kids are excited etc (no worries right) Front desk/Check-In station fails update my request to NO for additional children/siblings. Three extra kids arrive at my expense . I still think, ok I'll just pay and the kids will enjoy themselves . Also guests from other parties kept sitting in our reserved areas. I not the hostess had to keep advising others of this and requesting they sit elsewhere . Still I put on a smile and enjoy the party. The deal breaker was that my daughter had nearly $100 custom CatWoman cake designed. We cut a small piece to taste yet lights, music, friends - her birthday song comes on and OFF she goes. She skates off to enjoy her cake later. In addition the kids had cupcakes as well. Time passes must faster when you're having fun and we end up not getting to cut the cake for he others. Thankfully I had 2 dozen cupcakes already served . We place the cake back in its box and in the chaos of packing and getting all the children picked up, we leave the cake :( ! I call back to speak with the manager and her entire cake as been thrown away . This cake was 9" , about 10lbs , entirely custom (even the box) and no one thought lets refrigerate it and sit it aside. Perhaps this was an accident and outreach to mother. When I did call and speak with management I was told "I staff teenagers and no matter what you tell them when it's time to clean up, they just clean up". He agreed that an entire custom cake , 95% not eaten should not have been thrown out. The cake was highly decorative with a huge CatWoman and number 9 completely in tact atop the cake . With this being said he still failed to offer me ANY type of compensation. Not even a free skate for her after bawling her eyes out about it the entire way home . In addition to the near $300 I had just spent in their facility. Such a poor job as to handling the situation , would definitely brings my kids perhaps to the Mesa location instead . Moreover I would without a doubt NOT schedule or recommend a birthday party.
