Golden Steer Steakhouse is THE BEST steakhouse in Las Vegas and my family's personal favorite. Since the very first time we tried the oldest steakhouse in Las Vegas, we knew it would be our regular spot for special occasions and any day that ended in Y. We always always always ask for Tom because Tom gets it. We live in Las Vegas and have been in the service industry for many years so take it from us when we say the service is unmatched when we have Tom as our server. Frankly, the service is unmatched when Tom can't be our server but he's still in the building and coming over to our table knowing we requested him and checking in on us. Every time I send people to Golden Steer, I send them to Tom, and every time he doesn't disappoint. The most recent visit was just a couple of days ago and my friends were so impressed with the service that at one point someone said they totally expected someone from the waitstaff to come over with a toothbrush and clean our teeth. Let me not forget to mention the food. I don't really like prime rib, my husband loves prime rib. I now love prime rib at Golden Steer. We usually share the 24oz Jim Cut Prime Rib because the massive piece of meat that comes out to the table in all its perfection is more than enough to share between two people, especially when you order the largest baked potato in Las Vegas and the twice baked potato and a side of mushrooms. Don't forget to start with the fresh Caesar salad that they make table side for your enjoyment as well as starting with any of their amazing appetizers like the lump crab cakes or the toasted ravioli. Don't waste your time and money going to those heavily marketed, overpriced steakhouses on the strip. You want to try Golden Steer before your time in Las Vegas is over!
