This is a review of the Starbucks located within the Target store and is in no way a reflection of the Target store per se. I am writing it this way because when I asked the barista who is her pay check from she told me it comes from Target.
Our regular Starbucks which was located in the same strip mall as this Target closed and now I am forced to use Target for my overpriced coffee beverages. Being I am paying significantly more for my overrated coffee beverage, I have an entitlement to expect it to be made somewhat correctly. Let me qualify this by saying my beverage is relatively simple with the exception that I always ask for NO FOAM. At 4 plus dollars a drink I want as much liquid and as little air as possible in my latte.
It seems that this is a problem at this location since just about every time I go in there I land up with about 1.5" of frothy foam on the top. I tell them what's wrong and they fix it with no hassle or attitude... except today!!! I can tell the cup had foam just by picking it up. It was way too light. So today when I told them about the foam the barista told me there was no foam. I opened the lid and she said "there's no foam". I said do me a favor and scoop to the top. She proceeded to remove over 1.5" of foam from each of my 2 drinks. She then put the cover back on. I politely said "for $4.25 please fill them up to the top". She told me she didn't have any more steamed milk made. I told her "no problem, I'll wait while you make some more". With a bit of an attitude she steamed more milk and filled the cups. I politely thanked her (after all, she is someone's daughter/grand daughter). At which point she she told me to "have a nice day". She may as well told me the rest of what she was thinking which was probably "and don't come back". I want to be perfectly clear in that she didn't say "don't come back" but you could feel it in her attitude and tone of her voice.
In summary, the people running this Starbucks location in Target need a Starbucks customer service indoctrination and skills education to bring it up to at least the lowest Starbucks standards.
