The Cure Health Spa is a serene place to come to meditate while getting the wonderful benefits of detoxification, muscle/joint pain relief, and circulation improvements - this benefit list goes on and on. It's a mix of hot sauna with a splash of color light therapy. At the time of my visit, sweating in a 'hot box' sounded like the exact thing I needed for some mental clarity. The attendant working the front desk was very welcoming. He noted it was my first visit and was very helpful in explaining the ins and outs of my session. He escorted me to my sauna and showed me all the gadgets and gizmos they offered for me before I settled into sweating my stress away. The room was small, private, and well equipped - there was a salt lamp, water with an electrolyte drink mix, a chilled towel with your choice of essential oil, natural deodorant, makeup wipes, and a large TV if you need entertainment during your session. I enjoyed being able to change colors to promote different states of moods/results. The music in the background was soothing. Each sauna is in its private room so you can be bare naked. The infrared sauna was very hot; which is the point. You might need to leave the room and hop in and out like I did - depending on your heat tolerance. I love the head and still needed to take a break here and there for 20 seconds or so. After 10 minutes s I was drenched in sweat - so you can imagine how you will be after you 40-minute session. To ensure you enjoy your session, drink/bring plenty of water with you to stay hydrated before and after your visit. I recommend bringing/wearing sweats and a t-shirt, so it's easy to put on and take off after your session ends (think loose and comfy clothes). They do have the cool towel you can wipe off and clean yourself before heading out. Once I wrapped up my session, I emerged relaxed, refreshed, and recharged for the day. After showering at home, my skin looked amazing; literally glowing. Although I did my session solo, they have the option to double up with a friend - which might be a nice way to spend an afternoon to recharge. While I can't say I'd go for a session very often, I'm looking forward to booking another treatment soon. If you're into modern wellness and unique health trends, you must come here to give it a try.
