i love this little gem in the middle of the road. the curvy, melty rocks look like giant jabba the huts, laughing at han solo. the trails can go on for miles, depending on the different routes you take or doubling back. we ride or run the canal there, and from there, you can run/bike all the way to mill avenue for some refreshment. they've recently updated some of the bike path and added many new cool landscape features. you will notice though as soon as something new is built, the taggers are quickly behind, spraypainting most of it. there are little ponds, picnic areas, and if you go early, you can even see the bighorn sheep on the rocks in the pre-dawn hours. hole in the rock is a great sunset place that's easily accessible from a staircase. biking, hiking, and trail running right on our backyard. although not terribly technical or difficult, if you only have a few extra minutes, this is a fantastic park!
