First off..... check the weather. I will take some of the blame for not checking but this tour should not be operating in the rain. We just pissed away an entire day to be miserable and wet. Our day was pouring rain and yet the tour was not cancelled. This company only cares about money. They knew you could not see the Grand Canyon due to fog and walking the rim is out of the question. Even if you were willing to get wet they blocked off the trails so what was the point. It should have been cancelled since this is a sightseeing & walking tour, both of which we could not really do. I felt so bad for some people cause they sat on the bus the entire 14 hours because they were also not properly dressed. The tour does not even give out ponchos in the rain. This is a sight seeing tour for goodness sakes and if something is gonna hinder that they should accommodate it somehow, especially if they are gonna charge $170 to see the Grand Canyon. Our tour guide LUCIOUS was also useless. We arrived late at the first gift shop/buffet lunch and he didn't even tell us to buy ponchos here before eating as they would sell out. We had to fend for ourselves and get soaking wet at the next stop just to prevent ourselves from getting further wet. He was also the most monotoned tour guide ever that sounded as if he hated life and I was in lecture at university. He also talked a decent time on how much tip to give and the multiple ways you can give it to him. Tips should be earned and not expected!!! My advice is go with a different company in smaller groups..... even just buying a DVD of the Grand Canyon is better than going with this company.
