Once again, Jaycox came through. Late the other night we noticed the temperature rising in the house (this was during our 120 degree days). Called Jaycox, they walked me through some simple diagnostic questions. Outside unit fan was not running. Terry the owner instructed us to shut down the system until they could get there the next morning. Good advice, for had we let it stay on, we would have burned out the motor. Instead, Jason came early the next morning and diagnosed a failed capacitor, had it replaced in no time. A new fan motor plus a capacitor would have been quite a bit more expensive.
